Flangeform - Product Overview

How it Works

Flangeform single blow installation:

Flangeform can be inserted in presses ranging from fly presses to transfer presses, either manually placed or utilising fully automatic feeding systems. The simple low-cost mini die tool guarantees consistent and accurate insertion.

The pre-pierced component and the Flangeform fastener are located over the mini die.

As the punch moves downwards, the Flangeform fastener forms a flange in the component. This process actually strengthens the attachment point, particularly in thin material.

As the punch completes its blow, the collar on the Flangeform fastener is formed around the flange, so becoming an integral part of the component. The top of the fastener is pressed flush into the component and the splines are bedded into the component, guaranteeing exceptional torsional strength.
