The vibratory bowl orientates and transfers the nuts to the profiled gate, removing smaller foreign bodies / nuts.
The profiled gate ensures nuts of correct dimensions and orientation are allowed to pass through to the gravity tracks.
From standard bowls, between 1 & 4 tracks can be incorporated, but on request bespoke bowls can be designed and manufactured.
A reservoir of nuts are maintained within the gravity tracks, and held back by the tic-toc mechanism located at the bottom of each track. The unique tic-toc mechanism will only allow one nut to be fired at any one time.
Part present sensors are located at each end of the track, as well as sensors fitted to the tic-toc mechanism for process control and monitoring, which is fed back to the on-board PLC.
A low level sensor is also fitted to the outer most track to switch the vibratory bowl on and off during feeding, which accommodates high/low feed rates utilising the on-board controller.
Once the tic-toc mechanism is activated a nut is released and blown through to the feed head via flexible feed tube.
The fully programmed bowl PLC controls the process from the bowl to the head, interfacing with the press, providing a complete automated solution.
